About RSA Conference
Information is power. And wherever there’s power, there are people looking to steal it. But that’s also where you’ll find us. We’re RSA Conference. And we’re here to stand against cyberthreats around the world.
That means being here for you. Connecting you with the people and insights that will empower you to stay ahead of cyberthreats. We do this through our online outreach and with our events around the globe.
Some say it’s impossible to stay ahead of cybersecurity threats. We disagree. We’ll always be here as your go-to resource for exchanging ideas, learning the latest trends and finding the solutions for a more secure tomorrow.
We’re here. Where are you?
Our conferences draw over 50,000 attendees per year, more than any other conference out there. Why? Because we’re the only event that offers such a broad range of reasons. Valuable content presented by some of the industry’s most forward-thinking leaders. The chance to network with thousands of peers. And the inspiration you need to protect your organization now and in the future. Once you attend, it’s hard not to get swept up in the opportunities to find new industry voices and new ways of approaching security.
So, want to be better prepared for tomorrow’s challenges? Connect with RSA Conference today. You’ll feel smarter for doing it.

PI&T is excited to announce our upcoming Meetup, “Geolocation: The Real World ‘Cookie’ Eaten All Day” with Darren Abernethy, Senior Counsel at TrustArc.
Join us the evening of Wednesday, March 13th at TrustArc’s global headquarters in downtown San Francisco to hear about and discuss geolocation. Consumers voluntarily and involuntarily emit information about their actual physical locations all the live-long day—making it important to understand the forms “geolocation” data can take, how it is collected and used, and the controls end users have over the same.
Our discussion will start from the premise that geolocation is akin to a real-world “cookie,” in that over time a de-identified end user’s places/times visited—either that day or historically—may paint a vivid portrait of that user’s likes (and perhaps by extrapolation their friends’ likes too), how influenced they have been by targeted advertising campaigns, and what they may be most inclined to, for instance, purchase at a given moment in real-time. With these granular insights of course come privacy considerations that consumer trust-respecting businesses now regularly build into their services, lest they meet opposition—whether reputational or regulatory.
6:00PM – 6:30PM: Kick back and make nice with privacy professionals and folks from varied professional backgrounds, plus pizza, wine and beer!
6:30PM – 7:30PM: Geolocation: The Real-World “Cookie” Eaten All Day

The American Bar Association Section of Science & Technology Law is pleased to present its 4th National Institute on the Internet of Things. The Internet of Things (IOT) is defined as the billions of vehicles, buildings, process control devices, wearables, medical devices, drones, consumer/business products, mobile phones, tablets, and other “smart” objects that are wirelessly connecting to and communicating with each other. This new law practice area is raising unprecedented legal and liability issues, including privacy and cybersecurity of personal consumer and medical devices. This two day CLE program will discuss recent IoT developments, building blocks such as 5G, privacy and security, the government role in IoT policy and regulation, and more, including ethical issues.
The 2-day workshop will introduce you to the EuroPriSe certification scheme: You will learn about EuroPriSe criteria and procedures and train how to specify a target of evaluation (ToE) and to apply the certification criteria in the field. In addition, you will start to work on an exercise to be completed after the workshop, which is one important precondition for being admitted as a EuroPriSe Expert.
The workshop is a combination of classroom and group work and involves practical examples. You will deal with privacy use cases to apply what you have learned and to benefit from the professional exchange with other workshop participants.
Enjoy meeting other privacy professionals from around the globe and expand your professional network!
