Webinar: Understanding New EU Guidance on DPIA/PIA Requirements
Nov 10 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

Whether you call them Data Protection Impact Assessments or just PIAs, they are an indispensable way to gauge the potential impact of projects, systems, programs, products or services on the data an organization holds. Having a good understanding of what DPIA/PIAs are, how to implement them and who needs to be involved can be the key to embedding privacy in the heart of your organization. And of course they are now a requirement for certain types of processing under the GDPR.

Make sure you register for this webinar now as we will:

  1. Review PIA best practices
  2. Review latest compliance guidance from the EU regulators
  3. Provide a range of tips and tools to help streamline and embed the process in your organization

*Can’t make the webinar? Register anyway! We’ll send you a followup email with the slides and recording after the webinar!*

Public Lecture Series – Identity, Privacy and Security Institute (IPSI)
Nov 14 @ 12:00 pm

The conventional wisdom is that the modern political campaign in advanced democracies needs to be “data driven” to consolidate existing support and to find potential new voters and donors. The capture and consolidation of these data permit the construction of massive databases, the detailed profiling of individual voters and the “micro-targeting” of precise messages to increasingly refined segments of the electorate. With reference to the 2016 US Presidential election, Colin Bennett will discuss recent trends in “voter surveillance”, assess its effectiveness and consider the larger implications for privacy, civil liberties and other democratic values

Each group will be limited to 25 people to facilitate discussion in a relaxed atmosphere.

A summary will be prepared after each session by Privacy Laws & Business on a non-attributable basis for distribution to the group.

The programme is below but everyone who registers will be able to suggest amendments within the scope of each session to help ensure that the programme is closely aligned with your needs.
